What if a forest was planted under the starry vaults, among the pillars of the historic space of the St John's Centre? Sounds like a crazy dream, doesn’t it? That's why we had to make this fantasy come true.
At the turn of June and July, our Gothic venue will undergo an unusual metamorphosis with the participation of Tri-City artistic people. Its interior will be filled with lush greenery, and the scenery, inspired by the local landscape, will resound with an original soundtrack, captured in the Kashubian scenery. Like a Slavic mythical fern flower, an installation by a Sopot textile artist will also appear in the greenery of our improvised forest.
For a few summer days, the Baltic Sea Cultural Centre - St John's Centre will become a green oasis, a common space of rest where you can lose yourself: sit, lie down, stroll or meet another person. The rule is simple - as organizers we do not oblige and do not expect anything and we do not force the participants into any formats. All we will do is expose your senses to a variety of spontaneous experiences by nature. If you are lucky, walking through our woodland, you will experience subtle interventions: you will come across a bird or plant concert, smell the scent of Kashubian forests, see the play of sunlight on green leaves, or have the opportunity to reconnect with your body.
Come, take a deep breath. Visit our "LeŚnia"!
