37th “Sounds of the North” Festival

This year’s 37th edition of the “Sounds of the North” Festival will be held in a revamped formula.

Don't worry! There will be concerts, workshops and dances – everything you know well from past editions. Our main focus is still on interesting and innovative music projects from Poland, Scandinavian countries and other places around the Baltic Sea which prove that tradition is a living, inspiring and vigorous thing.

Our schedule for a few days in July is filled with exciting events to be held in the interiors and neighbourhood of the historic headquarters of the Baltic Sea Cultural Centre in Gdańsk. In addition to fantastic concerts at the spectacular St. John’s Centre we invite you to a space for relaxation and creative work around the Gothic church and in the Old Town Hall, where we can meet at workshops, try storytelling and handicrafts, watch a film, discover some tricks of the trade of translators of Scandinavian literature, and above all dance a lot and have fun together!
